Are you a medical transcriptionist who would like to work with Transcription Relief?

HOURS AVAILABLE: Full-time or part-time (at least 20 hours a week), flexible.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: You must be US based.  There is no specific experience requirement. We are willing to train a qualified candidate. We have successfully hired MTs right out of MT school. You will be required to prove your ability by transcribing test dictations for us to evaluate. You must show proof of successfully completing a medical transcription course from a reputable school. (See our Links Page for a recommended home study Medical Transcription course.)

SKILLS NEEDED: Excellent grammar skills. Strong attention to detail. QUALITY and ACCURACY (these are the most important aspects of Medical Transcription and the strongest requirements to work for Transcription Relief). Ability to consistently meet our deadlines. Understanding of transcription software packages is a plus but not required.

EQUIPMENT REQUIREMENTS: PC should be less than three years old. Microsoft Word 2000 or later.  High speed (Broadband) internet access*. Email address.  Fax number that delivers faxes directly to your email*. Unlimited long distance service* or willingness to make as many long distance calls as necessary, depending on geographic location.  *(See our Links Page  for some broadband providers, Fax to email services, and unlimited long distance providers.)

BENEFITS: You will be an Independent Contractor.  Compensation is paid on a per line rate. You will also be responsible for paying your own taxes, which may include quarterly estimated taxes. We will give you a 1099 statement at the end of each year.
